Despite its size, St. Michael’s village has its own pub, The Grapes, serving great food, a car garage, village hall, tennis club & bowling club. There are also a number of public footpaths on our doorstep to enjoy.

The historic market town of Garstang is just 4 miles away & is proud to be the world’s 1st fair trade town. There are many independent shops & cafes without a chain store in sight. Thursday is market day with many interesting stalls to browse. Just a moments walk from the High St. is the Millennium Green on the banks of a stunning stretch of the River Wyre, an area set aside for wildlife conservation & community events.

Also close-by is Barton Grange Garden Centre, boasting a new & most unusual leisure venue (The Flower Bowl) under one grass- covered roof. There’s a Premium Cinema with three screens, showing a variety of classic films, recent releases and live events. A Curling Rink with four ice sheets. Ten Pin Bowling with eight bowling lanes, two of which are in a private room which can be booked for parties. There are also two Golf Simulators which use the latest technology to offer the virtual experience of playing some of the best golf courses around the world! The stunning Lake District is only 1 hrs drive away. We are truly in an enviable location.
